FFA

The Hi-Plains FFA chapter has been awarded a grant totaling $2,662 as part of the Grants for Growing program. This nationwide initiative, sponsored by Tractor Supply Company, allocates funds to local FFA chapters to support the enhancement and development of agricultural education projects. These projects aim to enrich student classroom experiences through active engagement in chapter activities. In total, the program has contributed over $900,000 to FFA chapters across 47 states.

Funding for this initiative is made possible through consumer donations collected during checkout at Tractor Supply Company stores, specifically through the purchase of $1 FFA Paper Emblems. The fundraising efforts coincide with National FFA Week in February.

The National FFA Organization is a school-based leadership development entity with over 1,027,200 student members, organized into 9,235 local chapters across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Hi-Plains chapter plans to utilize the funds to acquire storage cabinets, shelving units, and updated tools. These resources have significantly aided students this semester by providing better organization and designated spaces for tools. Additionally, the chapter has been able to replenish its inventory with essential tools that were previously missing.

FFA week is coming up February 16th though Feb 22, please consider stopping by tractor supply and purchase a $1 FFA emblem to support FFA chapters across the country.
