What an incredible day celebrating Women in Industry: Continuing the Journey! Our students spent the day exploring hands-on STEM and industry sessions led by amazing MCC instructors and professionals.
They got to:
Build bridges in Engineering of Construction
Create custom lip balm in Chemistry of Cosmetology
Design projects with vinyl and Cricut in Product Design & Manufacturing
Learn about muscle care and recovery with Rock Taping
Try their hand at Soldering and Mini Welding in Intro to Fabrication
Students also heard an inspiring keynote from Jenny Schaal, PT, DPT, ATC, owner of Schaal Therapy & Fitness Centers, encouraging them to chase their goals and embrace opportunities in every industry.
Our very own Giget Brubacher was also featured on the annual trading cards. LeAnnn wrote about Ms. Brubacher last year and her path in the education field.
The day wrapped up with challenges, door prizes, and plenty of smiles — a huge thank you to MCC and all the presenters who made this experience possible for our future women in STEM and skilled trades!
