Read Across America Day

On Monday March 2nd, HP elementary students filled the gym to celebrate Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss's birthday to promote reading and literacy. This is a nationwide event that encourages everyone to pick up a book, especially a Dr. Seuss book! This is the largest reading celebration in the U.S. and aims to boost reading skills, foster inclusivity, and show kids that books offer both "mirrors" (reflecting their own lives) and "windows" (offering new perspectives).
