Students Visit Wind Farm

On Wednesday, April 29th the entire student body took a field trip to the wind farm. In the morning, the elementary students visited the site where a wind turbine was being erected. They each received a hard had and safety vest then got to see the big equipment used to put up the wind tower and meet the crew. They also received crayons, coloring sheets, and book all about wind turbines and their importance for energy sustainability. They asked a ton of questions and enjoyed the morning on-site.

They were able to see all of the equipment and watched the crane lift a turbine blade into place. They also asked a lot of questions and learned about the different career opportunities available.
